Kwikwai 1.0r754 (2014-05-30)
New
- The web interface now displays in bold messages sent by kwikwai (via any API). The information is also available via the Web API.
- Kwikwai prints the button name/function (as per the HDMI spec) when reporting on events.
- Kwikwai decodes most of the new messages introduced in the HDMI 1.4 spec.
- Support for a “debugging” mode to display CEC blocks in raw format (
cec:listen:set 2
).
- Support for exporting the content of the GUI message list as text.
- Kwikwai k1-092 is limited to basic web GUI.
Changes
- The middle LED only glows when a dynamic address has been set, not before. DHCP is very quick, but link local (direct ethernet between machines) takes 5 seconds or so.
- Before using randomized addresses, link local tries
196.254.12.91
(1291 is the foundation date of Switzerland). (Only works from boot loader 1.5.2)
Fixes
- Kwikwai used to drop any frame with EOM bit errors. It now behaves according to the spec, that is, considers valid all blocks up to the EOM bit. In practice, this means kwikwai may report more frames than before from wrongly implemented CEC devices.
Kwikwai 1.0r529
New
- Kwikwai can be configured to ack CEC messages. This allows to emulate a device. To ack a device identifier, check the checkbox below it’s id on the CEC tab. The Web and CLI API have been updated.
Kwikwai 1.0r504
New
- Added JSONP support to the Web API

Fixes
- ddc:read returns all bytes
- ddc decoding reports the correct CEA resolution
- Use a max packet size of 1350. Should work with MTU settings below 1500.
